Description

We are excited to present to you our latest and greatest desiccator cabinet. This desiccator cabinet has the inside dimensions of 12 inch Wide, 12 inch Deep, and 12 inch High. This desiccator is fully assembled and ready to go. It comes with one fully removable perforated shelf, a digital hygrometer, two gas ports that are 1/4 inch NPT and plugged, and four door clamps. This is an air tight box which means that as soon as you close the door and engage the clamps, it becomes hermetically sealed.

We construct our desiccator cabinets the same way we construct any of our products which means that this desiccator box is robustly designed and quality manufactured to consistently perform and meet your needs. This dry box will enable you to store any component that requires dry storage such as anhydrous and hygroscopic biological and chemical compounds and electronic assemblies. It can be used for long term and short-term storage of laboratory samples. Desiccator cabinets will reduce humidity/oxygen within the box. Desiccators are air tight containers envisioned to store samples shielded from dust and contamination and/or in a low humidity and in some cases a low oxygen environment.

Please note that this desiccator is not intended to be pressurized, if you required a vacuum chamber or a pressure chamber click on the link. Also note that acrylic material is hygroscopic meaning that it will absorb and transport humidity. Say you are operating in a relatively high humidity environment (80%) and say that you bring the humidity inside this desiccator cabinet to below 20%. Due to the nature of acrylic, the humidity will travel through the walls and slowly increase the humidity until it gets to a steady state. If no further action is taken, the humidity inside the desiccator cabinet will equalize with the outside within a couple of hours. In order to keep the humidity at a certain level, you will have to monitor it or control it as we mentioned before, acrylic is hygroscopic.

This vacuum chamber is a modification to our basic acrylic vacuum chamber 12 inch, removable lid model; except that our customer requested additional ports and electrical feed-through for testing of electrical equipment under vacuum. You know, I wish we would have asked them for more details on what they were doing with this chamber; their short and concise answer was that they were using our chamber to perform scientific work on the subjects of: lithium ion batteries, thin films, fuel cells, super-capacitors, and nano-materials testing in a vacuum environment.

5. Return Policy: 14 days on all standard products. We stand 100% behind our products. If there was a mistake on our part, you will be refunded 100% of your money including shipping. If the mistake was on your part or you decided that you didn`t want it after all, you will pay for shipping and we will fully refund rest of your money. Chamber must be insured during return shipping for the price that you paid for and in a non-damaged condition. Return Policy does NOT apply to custom items, jobs, or products. If you have asked us to modify any of our standard products, you will not be able to return your item.
