Description

The brand new Welch CRV Pro 16 Model 3167-01 direct drive Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump. One advantage of the CRV Pro Vacuum pump is that has an much more increased reliability and longer service life vs other high performance, heavy duty vacuum pumps. The reason this rotary vane vacuum pump can achieve much higher robustness and reliability is because of three main point. First, this vacuum pump will run 10 Degrees Celsius cooler than other comparable pumps which means that the corrosion and wear and tear is slowed down. Second, this vacuum pump has 40% larger oil capacity than comparable vacuum pump, this larger oil capacity will further dilute any corrosive constituents inside the vacuum pump. Third, this vacuum pump has a chemical resistant coating in the oil case and pump module which means that all non-moving parts are protected from corrosion. Furthermore, the CRV Pro Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump consumes up to 36% less oil than other comparable vacuum pumps ? this decreases the service and maintenance requirements of this vacuum pump.

The CRVPro Vacuum Pump includes all feature you need from a direct drive rotary vane vacuum pump such as Quick Flange Intake and Exhaust, Fastening Holes, Gas Ballast, Force Oil Lubrication, Anti-Suckback valve, and thermal overload protection

Common Applications include but are not limited to: degassing, vacuum ovens, vacuum concentrations, vacuum leak testing, altitude simulation, freeze drying, electronic equipment testing, and other vacuum applications. Please note that Direct drive pumps are not recommended for filtration, aspiration, drying electrophoresis gels, or other applications requiring sustained operation above 30 torr. Altitude Simulation Systems
Altitude simulation systems are devices that simulate a certain altitude equivalent by controlling the vacuum inside a vacuum chamber. Altitude is a function of absolute pressure, therefore if a certain pressure is accomplished inside a vacuum chamber, a specific altitude can be simulated from the set pressure. Altitude simulation systems can be configured to not only hold a certain pressure, a complete pressure vs time profile can be programmed to be run. Furthermore, pressure vs time recipes can be loaded and run based on test requirements.
Thermocouple Vacuum Feedthroughs
Thermocouple Vacuum Feedthrough are air-tight components that enable the measurement of temperature inside the vacuum chamber during vacuum operations. If you have to run thermocouple wires into the vacuum chamber in order to measure temperature of a specimen during vacuum operation, a thermocouple vacuum feedthrough will enable you to do that.
Our Work: High Altitude Vacuum Testing of Electrical Connectors and Components
This was an interesting project where one of our customers needed to test wires up to 44 inches long within a high altitude simulation environment. In addition to testing wires, several other electric connectors required altitude testing as well. The altitude requirements were 100,000 feet (30.510 km) which corresponds to 8.36 Torr - a piece of cake when it comes to the vacuum requirements of our chambers.

Force Decay Leak Testing is a very popular quantitative leak testing method used to quality test package and product integrity due to its ability to detect small leaks which cannot be seen through visual inspection. In this method, the test specimen is internally inflated by either internal pressurization or vacuum force. The inflated test specimen will, in turn, apply a force on a pressure transducer. Finally, the change in force applied by the inflated specimen over a specified time is observed.
