Pressure Decay Leak Testing Systems
A pressure decay leak testing system is an instrument which tests for leaks in your specimen by investigating a drop in pressure. The advantage of a pressure decay leak test is that it is a quantities, qualitative, and objective test that does not rely on the impression of the operator to pass the specimen.
Our Decay leak tester is a fully automated unit which upon the push of the start button fills the test specimen with positive pressure, closes the test valve, and observes the drop in pressure for specified period of time. After the test time has passed, the fully calibrated, qualified, and validated internal algorithm calculates the test result and outputs either a FAIL or PASS on the HMI screen.
Keep in mind that you most of the products that are tested by a pressure decay method will require a custom jig or fixture to be designed and fabricated that will allow the operator to connect the pressure line to the test specimen and perform the test. Generally speaking these test fixtures are table top fixtures although sometimes our Pressure Decay Leak Testers are used in large automated machines.
Common applications include but are not limited to quality testing of:
■ Catheters ■ Syringes ■ IV Bags ■ Biotech Valves ■ Test Pouches ■ Serum Tubes ■ Medical Pumps ■ Endotracheal Tubes ■ Nasal Tubes ■ Masks ■ Prosthetics ■ Fuel Pumps ■ Break Hose Testing ■ HVAC Systems ■ Bulletproof Vests
