Description

Sanatron Force Decay Leak Testing System is an instrument that will enable you to detect and quantify a leak via the force decay method. This instrument is a single channel instrument that enables you to test one specimen at a time. A force decay is a qualitative and a quantitative leak detection method.

The way a force decay test works is by inflating the specimen. This inflation is done by internally pressurizing the specimen through a pressurized air line or placing the specimen inside a vacuum chamber, pulling a vacuum, and generating a pressure differential. The pressurized specimen will swell up and apply force to the transducer. This transducer will measure the force applied and monitor the change in force over time. If there is not change in force, this means that there are no leaks since the pressure inside the specimen stayed constant. On the other hand, if the force applied by the sample decreased over a specified amount of time, you have a leak, this is because the air escaped through a leak path and hence decreased the pressure inside the sample which in turn decreased the force applied to a sample.

Please note that this instrument is not intended to be purchased as a standalone item but rather as a part of a whole leak testing assembly. Feel free to contact us to find out how you can implement a leak testing instrument into your quality control program.

Altitude Simulation Systems
Altitude simulation systems are devices that simulate a certain altitude equivalent by controlling the vacuum inside a vacuum chamber. Altitude is a function of absolute pressure, therefore if a certain pressure is accomplished inside a vacuum chamber, a specific altitude can be simulated from the set pressure. Altitude simulation systems can be configured to not only hold a certain pressure, a complete pressure vs time profile can be programmed to be run. Furthermore, pressure vs time recipes can be loaded and run based on test requirements.
Belt Drive Rotary Vane Vacuum Pumps
A Belt Drive Rotary Vane Pump is almost identical to a Direct Drive Rotary Vane Pump. The only difference between the two is that the belt drive Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump is driven by a belt. There are several advantages why a belt drive vacuum pump would be preferable. One of these reasons is that the belt drive Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump runs at a slower RPM therefore the temperature created is lower, the wear and tear is less, and the overall lifetime of the pump is longer. The disadvantages are a lower CFM and performance.
Our Work: Submersion Leak Testing of Explosive or Volatile Products
Ever wondered how to leak test packaged volatile products? Do you know that there are countless unstable products out there that have to be leak tested as part of quality control? By volatile we mean products which ignite, explode, shatter, melt, or are hazardous. Keep in mind that hazardous material for whatever reason has be undergo quality control as well.

How do you know that you have a good part during your leak test? In order to understand your leak test, you must first understand the Test Decay Curve and what it tells you about your test specimen. There is a certain way that a test specimen behaves during the leak test.
